Saravilla Bed and Breakfast

Saravilla is a three story Dutch Colonial mansion built in 1894, originally an enticement for Sara Wright Lancashire to stay near her father after marriage. Located right in the middle of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, we are within walking distance of Alma College, the Michigan Masonic Home, and Alma’s original business district that offers restaurants, antique stores, and other services. Saravilla also caters to those visiting nearby Mt. Pleasant, home of Central Michigan University, and Soaring Eagle Casino.

Saravilla has gone through several evolutions since being built in 1894 as a private summer home. Along with being a private residence for other owners, it was used as a retirement home for both the Gleaners Insurance Society and Free Masons of Michigan, a 50 bed hotel and has been a bed and breakfast for over 30 years.
