Magnolia Hall in Savannah

Magnolia Hall in Savannah, Georgia was built in 1878 for Jacob Guerard Heyward, the great grandson of Thomas Heyward Jr., a South Carolinian who signed the Declaration of Independence. Later it was the home of Pulitzer Prize winner Conrad Aiken, then John Berendt, author of “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.”
Today, Magnolia Hall is one of SCAD Savannah’s guest houses. SCAD maintains this historic 3-story Second Empire residence as a place to offer their special guests.
